Effective June 23, 2026, when eDelivery is a provider’s preferred delivery method, ECG written reports (textual interpretation only) can be sent to the EMR of the ordering/authorizing provider and any copy-to providers. This change may impact providers who work in multiple locations, including those working exclusively in the community or in both community settings and Connect Care sites (“mixed-context providers”).
Key things to note about this change:
- No waveform tracings will be included in the reports sent to EMRs.
- Reports including waveform tracings will continue to be faxed according to current practice, and will remain available in Alberta Netcare.
- Mixed-context providers can request either their Connect Care location or their community location (via eDelivery and/or fax/mail) as their primary address. See the tip sheet for more information.
- To update your provider or clinic information and delivery preferences, please complete the Request for Provider Set-Up in Health Information Systems form.
